3 Things I’ve learned from Motherhood: 1-it takes a village 2-you can’t pour from an empty cup 3-when you focus on improving your health all areas of your life improve


I’m Cyndal. Small town North Dakota dweller, nurse, certified nutrition mentor & fitness enthusiast with a fire in me to bring out the best in the women I coach, whether they are working on getting their health on track or building financial freedom! Currently obsessed with donuts, virtual coffee chats {full disclosure: tea or #mommasgogojuice is usually in my cup…not coffee} and planning family vacations.

I’m a wife to my high school sweetheart, Kyle, whose made me a mama to my 4 beautiful babes. A 9 year old, fiercely independent and highly empathetic young lady, Liam Audrielle, a 6 year old competition king… and go getter of a little man, Beckett Allan, a 4 year old boy who’s first words were sarcasm and who thinks asking his momma for a kiss will get him out of trouble every time (he is usually right…), Vincent Grover, and a feisty little miss who is bound and determined to prove that the terrible twos are a real thing (I thought it was all lies and that 3 was way worse than 2 until now!) but still crazy adored as she is are only one that is a true “mommy’s girl,” Elliott Carice.

I have a passion for women’s health and it only seemed appropriate that a labor delivery nurse like me be able to help women outside of the hospital setting! After our farming family grew to six I felt pulled to stay home with my little ones and I am so grateful that this community has let me do just that while providing social interaction for my introverted self and let me continue to fulfill my passion to pull out that inner bomb babe that is within all of the women I come into contact with!

A Little Back Story

I was 5 months postpartum with baby number three and that darn “baby weight” wouldn’t shake. I wish I could say I only gained the average 25-35 lbs, but no, I gained 70+ with my first and 50+ with all of my others. I also had a few factors playing against me—1) I was in the midst of postpartum depression 2) I was diagnosed with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) a few years prior 3) my boys are only 18 months apart. I had little energy and felt like a shell of a person. Everything from the outside looked like it was going smashingly, partly because I am really good at hiding it all. But I felt lost. I loathed my body. I didn’t feel like me. I cringed when my daughter would ask me to push her on the swing because I just couldn’t muster the energy. I seriously thought, “Is this really how life is suppose to be?”

I knew I needed to make a change but I really had no idea where to start. My body was giving me such turmoil so I decided to join a local bootcamp group that had started up which was way out of my comfort zone…plus, I hadn’t worked out in like 10 years! I honestly thought I was going to die during our first workout. Like, legit, fall over and never wake up. I couldn’t believe I was paying to be tortured was the thought that kept going through me head, lol! I was able to partake in the bootcamp for a month before my little man decided he needed to nurse (and he wasn’t a quick eater, we are talking about a 45 min breastfeeding sesh!) and since my hubby was starting harvest I couldn’t ask him to come home in the middle of the day to take in the afternoon bootcamp.

I could feel the depression setting back in before too long. Thought I hadn’t made any notable physical changes over that month (insert: I hadn’t changes my nutrition!) I did feel like the workouts and “me time” were helping me mentally. I then received a well timed invite from an old classmate asking if I would want to join an online accountability group. I said “YES!” before I even heard the details. Once she told me we would be doing a 3 week, at home work out program, following a portioned nutrition system, and drinking some silly shake I hesitated. I had all the excuses flowing— “Home workouts don’t work.” “I don’t do shakes.” “How would an online group really help?” “I don’t do shakes.” “I should be able to get all my nutrients from whole foods—I don’t need to supplement.” “I am a mom. Moms don’t spend money on themselves.” And so on. I felt bad backing out so I decided that one month of trying wouldn’t hurt, even though I just knew that there was no way any of this stuff would work.

Long Story Short…

I committed. I decided to give it my all and you know what, IT ACTUALLY WORKED!!

Two months later I was down just under 20 lbs!

The external transformation was great but what happened on the inside was seriously so much better. I had confidence. I had energy (my daughter got loads of underdogs and I didn’t think twice about being out of breath!). I was happy and no longer felt any lingering postpartum depression. I could fit into my clothes and wasn’t crying over my body. I was embracing my stretch marks and loving that I was actually gaining muscle. My digestion had changed and for someone who was chronically constipated since infancy (TMI? Sorry…as a nurse the too much info line is pretty blurry!) this was a huge deal. A BIG thank you to the good stuff that helped my gut health get on track from my chocolate #WonderWomanShake!

Plus, the woman that I had gotten to know through this accountability group had become my friends. I didn’t realize how much their support and encouragement would affect me or how mine would affect them.

I had been given the tools for long term health. Though my transformation was over a short period of time what I was utilizing wasn’t fad related. It was about finding what worked for my body and something that I could utilize for a lifetime. I learned that fitness could be fun and key to some mental clarity. I learned not just about clean eating but also balanced eating. In addition, I learned that supplementing my body with things it was lacking was key to good gut health because let’s face it—I DO NOT eat perfectly every day. It is all about balance, right?! But my #WonderWomanShake helps get me the digestive enzymes, probiotics, and additional nutrients and superfoods my body craves each day.

These tools even gave me the chance to have my healthiest pregnancy. After 3 pregnancies where my aches seemed to get worse with each one I was fully expecting my fourth be follow suit. I was pleasantly surprised that it didn’t! I was able workout throughout. And after having hyperemesis gravidarum (extreme nausea and vomiting) with all of my pregnancies (from beginning to end—ugh!) I was happy that my improved nutrition and gut health helped it subside the end of the second trimester with my fourth! If you have ever had this you know that having it stop earlier in a pregnancy than you thought it would is like getting to celebrate Christmas twice in a year!! And the best part was I never stressed once about getting back to where I was prior to my last pregnancy. I knew I could do it and never did I worry about how long it would take. I just enjoyed the journey!

After my initial physical and internal transformation—I WAS HOOKED!


And so, MomBodNation was Founded


I wanted to share what I had found. I never planned to create a career, I simply wanted to show other woman how they could better care for themselves for the long term. But a movement had started and I rolled with it! I replaced the income I had as a labor/delivery nurse once I was pulled to stay home with my babes. I began showing other how they could do the same and our team of Wellness Influencers began to grow!

Years into this “job” I am still a little baffled that I actually get paid to inspire others to take care of themselves and show them the tools they can use…it is a tough job, but someone has to do it! LOL! I can’t tell you how happy I am that I decided to think outside of the box and say '“YES!” to an opportunity that has given me such fulfillment.
